Mary Howard and Don Shephard have been selected to coach the Sting Dallas Royal 97 team, as well as to develop the future Sting Royal teams.

Mary is the current coach for the Sting Dallas Royal 96 and Sting Dallas Royal 93 teams. She is the former Director of Coaching for several clubs. She coached collegiate soccer at Arkansas, Marquette, and Tulane university and has worked with youth players through the Olympic Development programs in Louisiana, Wisconsin, and North Carolina and as a Regional Staff coach. She was an NSCAA High School All-American and a member of the U-20 National Team. She currently holds a USSF "A" license.

Don is the current coach for the Sting Dallas Royal 96 team. He has been a youth sports coach for the past 20 years. Before joining Sting in 2005, he coached in the youth academies for Andromeda and the Texas Spurs. Don is an active volunteer within the North Texas soccer system, hosting coaching and player clinics and camps. He currently holds a USSF "D" license.

A memorial fund has been set up for the Flanagan family. Donations may be made in Brad Flanagan's name for the benefit of Brian and Marsha Flanagan to Beckham Flanagan.

Seven SuperBlue academy teams participated in the Kick-It 3 v 3 tournament this weekend in The Colony--SuperBlue 01, SuperBlue 99 (2 teams), SuperBlue 98, SuperBlue 97 (3 teams). All of the players had fun, worked hard and brought home a lot of medals. Congratulations to all who participated.

SuperBlue '97 (Flanagan) won the U10 - Silver Division of the Carey Girls '06 Invitational Soccer Tournament. The girls went 5-0 during their first 11v11 experience playing up in the '96 age bracket.

Brandi Chastain, World Cup and Olympic gold-medalist and former women's national team member, takes time to meet with members of the SuperBlue Academy after the FCDallas match on April 1^st. Ms. Chastain was in Frisco as part of the broadcast crew for the match.
